We are just a couple of life loving adventures who enjoy the exploration of this beautiful planet.
In March 2018 I survived my second heart attack. Shortly after I took my sweetheart up to the Kit Carson lodge for the weekend to relax and take in the beautiful area around Kirkwood California.
We had always planned on getting a 5th wheel toy hauler to throw all our toys in and head for the coast or Sand Mountain NV you know, playgrounds. But on the way home after that weekend of reflection it became clear to me what we needed to do. We already have a 25ft travel trailer for those RV outings and really don’t need a bigger trailer. What we love doing most is heading for the mountains in our 2016 Toyota 4Runner (Sophia). We’ve made some amazing memories traveling around the countryside in Sophia and deep into desolation wilderness where there are many animals and few people.
We just needed a great “off-road” trailer capable of going where Sophia goes. So, the search began and after hours rolling into days of research because I really dig in before I spend. I decided on a Turtleback Expedition Trailer. This custom-built trailer is not only capable of going where Sophia goes, I’m pretty sure it will go places Sophia can’t. It is the perfect trailer for us, and it has the biggest kitchen I have ever seen. I will be creating delicious nutritious heart healthy meals with recipes and videos shared on our website and social media sites.
I am a man of many passions and because of this I have held a lot of rolls. Food Photographer, Food writer for magazines and news media, restaurant consulting. I’m an IT guy by day, very busy drummer by night and I have managed to do most of these jobs at the same time because they occur at opposing hours. I have more energy/drive than guys half my age. I just don’t want to miss a thing. I love life and all it has to offer, and I am going to share it all with you.
We are all about the “People we meet to the places we eat. The trails we take to the food we make.” Life is made for living and “We only get one ride. So make it wild!”
